Giant Martini Glasses

Oversized or giant martini glasses are useful for serving non-alcoholic fare, such as desert items.  Aside from the obvious issue of undue intoxication, they are not well suited for sipping a martini because the drink loses its chill and becomes unappealing before it is consumed.

When it comes to selecting martini glasses for imbibing cocktails, stick with customary sizes.  It is much more appealing to enjoy a second freshly mixed martini, than to force down the dregs at the bottom of a giant martini glass.
