Dirty Martini Recipe

Well, what can I say.  It's not a pretty drink to look at and you gotta like olives.  All I do is make a great vodka or gin martini, add a splash of olive brine, and skewer three or four of the fattest olives I've got.

The Best Dirty Martini Recipe ImageThe dirty martini is becoming a fairly popular cocktail. The name comes from the decidedly cloudy or “dirty” appearance of this martini recipe, which leverages the classic flavor of a martini olive for those folks who just can’t get enough olives in their drink.

Basically, a dirty martini is just a dry gin martini, or vodka martini, with a splash of olive juice.

How To Make A Dirty Martini

Use Johnnie’s vodka martini recipe and add a splash or two of olive brine. You can get the olive brine from your jar of martini olives, but if you get hooked on dirty martinis you will want to buy olive juice, which is now available sans olives. Otherwise, you’ll end up with a lot of dry olives!

Garnish and Glasses for a Dirty Martini Garnish? Olives, of course! You can serve a dirty martini is a standard, clear martini glass but as the name implies this is not a pretty cocktail. Our favorite dirty martini glass is The Jewel, which has a handsome appearance colored in topaz, aquamarine, emerald and amethyst.
